Neillsville Man Sentenced for Child Abduction

-The man involved in a child abduction in Neillsville back in December was sentenced for the charges against him in Clark County Court on Wednesday.In December 2015, a Neillsville resident contacted the Neillsville Police Department and said her estranged husband, Jason Sonnheim, had broken into her home, assaulted her and abducted their 4-year-old son. He was later spotted in Eau Claire County and, after a brief high speed chase, he was arrested.
In June, he pleaded guilty to a charge of strangulation and suffocation and interfere with a child custody order. He was sentenced to 2 years in prison and 2 years of extended supervision. He also owes the courts $452. He was also sentenced to 10 years in prison in Eau Claire County for the incident.
