Friday, August 19th, 2016 -- 10:21 AM
-The Neillsville City Council heard the committee reports at their meeting last week.Besides the appearances about the tree, another resident asked about a building on Hewitt Street and thanked the Police Department for all their hard work, suggesting they be paid more. It was also stated by some council members that the city and county taxi is doing well, the new kiosks have been installed and 12 of 13 Neillsville businesses passed a tobacco check. For public works the usual amount of work was done in the city. They’re doing some street construction and finished current water projects.
Some other items from the Personnel Committee meeting held on August 3rd include advertising for city hall’s vacant assistant clerk-treasurer position. There was also a Grants Committee meeting, a Solid Waste and Recycling Committee meeting and a Historic Preservation Committee meeting. However, the minutes for that meeting were not read as they were incorrect.
