School Depository and Lunch Prices at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-The Owen-Withee School Board approved their school depository for the next school year at their meeting last week.The board unanimously approved keeping Forward Financial as the district’s depository and financial institution. They also approved the lunch prices for next year. In order to continue the district’s move to meet the mandated average lunch price of $2.65, set by the USDA, the board approved a $.10 increase in the cost of a daily lunch. The new lunch price, for students who pay the full lunch price will be $2.10 for kindergarten, $2.30 for grades 1-6, $2.40 for grades 7-12 and $3.40 for adults. Breakfast price will remain at $1.00.
The board also heard about the CESA 10 Annual Meeting held on August 4th. Tom Kidd, a former teacher and current motivational speaker, talked to the group about the importance of education and the roles teachers, admins and board members play. The meeting also elected 4 new Board of Control members and Owen-Withee’s Rick Eloranta was elected to be the president of the Board of Control for this year.
