Greenwood School Board Prepares for Upcoming School Year

-The Greenwood School Board approved several items in preparation for the upcoming school year at their meeting on Monday.The district made the initial deposit in the Fund 46 Trust Account and the board approved the contract with Clark County Adult Development Service to provide vacuuming and dishwashing services at the Elementary School. The cost of the contract is the same as last year approximately $15,500. The board also accepted the milk bid secured by the Central Wisconsin Small School Co-op and the distributor remains the same for the district. The savings is anticipated at $5000-6000 for the year.
The new phone system has been installed with some loose ends still being addressed and the district has returned to the “267” prefix numbers. The board also reviewed the initial draft budget for 2016-2017. The board conducted a second reading of the 2000’s series of policies and approved the policies and they also had the first reading of the 5000’s series. Finally, the board approved the 2016-17 Elementary School Student Handbook, approved the 2016-17 Middle/High School Student Handbook and approved changes Student Activities Code for 2016-17.
