One of Three People Arrested for Drug Use in Black River Falls Sentenced in Jackson County Court

Tuesday, July 26th, 2016 -- 11:59 AM

-One of three people arrested for drug use at a truck stop in Black River Falls was sentenced in Jackson County Court on Monday.

Back in April, police received reports of an intoxicated driver at the Flying J Truck Stop around 2:45 in the morning. When they arrived they searched the suspects’ car after smelling marijuana. They found meth, oxycodone and marijuana. The three suspects, Damion Palms, Sashal Hollencamp and Travis Towne were arrested and they have several, similar charges against them including possession of meth, possession of narcotic drugs, possession of THC and more.

Hollencamp had three charges against him including possession of THC, aggravated battery and bail jumping. As part of a plea deal, Hollencamp pleaded no contest to, and was found guilty of, the battery charge. The remaining charges were dismissed and read in and was sentenced to one year probation. As for the others, Palms had four possession charges filed against him. Three were dismissed and read in and the fourth had a deferred judgement ordered as part of a plea deal that was reached at the beginning of July. Towne will be back in court in October.
