Loyal School Board Approves Several Items

-The Loyal School Board approved several items at their meeting last week.They approved a $500 stipend for teachers who lead committees and they updated end of year spending. The district is projected to add $150,000 to their fund balance as expected in previous referendum planning. They approved the resignation of Kristen Jaenke from her FACE position, hired Leah Adkins as a High School English teacher and hired Charles Brannen as an Art teacher. The board also approved to pay for classes needed by teacher to add a supplemental reading license and raised custodial sub pay from $9 to $11/hour.
Finally, the board discussed a fund 80 levy for community activities, kept the consumable product fee unchanged, reported seclusion and restraint numbers for the last school year, which was 0 and 3 respectively, and provided updates on strategic planning goals with good progress being made.
