The Highground's Operation Persian Gulf Welcome Home Veterans Event, Day 5

-The Highground’s Operation Persian Gulf Welcome Home Veterans Event continues today.Today is the ceremony for Operation Iraqi Freedom. The program begins at 4:30pm with a presentation by Bobby Henline. Speakers will include Shane Dawson an OIF, Father Conrad Targonski and OIF and Sandy Hautamaki the mother of Ryan Cantafio who was killed in action in Iraq. The color guard will be presented by the Thorp VFW #9057. There will be music by Keith Pulvermacher during and after the ceremony and bagpipes at sunset.
For the remainder of the event, there will be other guest speakers, music and ceremonies on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The Persian Gulf tribute will also be dedicated on Saturday at 5:30pm. Sunday is family day with a picnic, inflatables, kid’s games and an outdoor movie.
