-The Granton City Council heard a couple updates at their meeting last week. The council heard an MSA update and were told that Total Electric has begun the electrical project. Boxes, control and SCADA will be started last. Total electric will also add Apps to phones. They also heard an update on Fall Fest. Approximately 170 tickets have been sold. The truck and tractor pull is July 23rd and the clerk will try to attend and sell more tickets. It may be possible to pull the cabin down to the fire station for more visibility.
Finally, they heard an update on health insurance and employee wages. The village has been researching health care options and has identified several insurance policies that are available without the required “group.” Options have ranged between $600 and $1500 per month depending on personal preferences of deductible amounts and maximum out of pocket limits. The board provided the insurance information to the associates and will leave the sign up and the enrollment process up to the associate.
