The Highground's Operation Persian Gulf Welcome Home Veterans Event, Day 3

-The Highground’s Operation Persian Gulf Welcome Home Veterans Event continues today.There was a media reception and opening ceremony held yesterday with speakers including Neillsville Mayor Steve Mabie, Juli McNeely of MDRT and Brian Barth. Today is the Desert Shield/Desert Storm Ceremony which begins at 6pm. The speaker will include James Liedtka, a Desert Storm and OEF veteran and music performed by Vets for Freedom before, during and after the ceremony. There will also be bagpipes at sunset.
Throughout the remainder of the week there will be more guest speakers, concerts and other events. They will also dedicate the Persian Gulf tribute during this event on Saturday, July 23rd and the time for that has been moved from 6:30pm to 5:30pm on that Saturday. Sunday, July 24th is family day with a picnic, inflatables, kid’s games and an outdoor movie.
