Employment Matters and More at Neillsville School Board Meeting

-The Neillsville School Board approved several items at their meeting on Monday.

The board approved a shared space agreement with Clark County Community Services, approved the shared space agreement with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, approved the annual meeting agenda with modifications as presented and approved transportation prices for the 2016-2017 school year. The board also heard the District Administrator’s report. Mr. Gaier reported on the state superintendent election, a DPI announcement on transportation aid, WRS contribution rates for 2017, an article about millennial workers and an article regarding mental health services in Wisconsin. He also reported on an article comparing funding for voucher schools to public schools, an article about vouchers for students with disabilities, an article about Senator Ron Johnson, an article about Governor Walker’s listening sessions and two Focus articles.

For employment matters, the board approved the retirement of LaVonne Pagenkopf from her teaching assistant position. They approved the resignation of Ashley Noack from her middle school teacher position and Ashley King from her grades 8-12 FCSE teacher position. Finally, the approved the hiring of Sharilyn Ziegler for a teaching assistant position, Melody Clemens for a teaching assistant position, Hilary Hoffman for the C-team volleyball coaching position, Alaric Huls for a middle school football coaching position and Ryan Dillenbeck for a middle school football coaching position.
