The Highground's Operation Persian Gulf Welcome Home Veterans Event, Day 2

-The Highground’s Operation Persian Gulf Welcome Home Veterans Event continues today.The Wall of Remembrance was escorted into The Highground yesterday afternoon from Madison. Today is the official kickoff with a media reception at 4:30pm and the opening ceremony starting at 6pm. Speakers during the ceremony will include Neillsville Mayor Steve Mabie, Julie McNeely of MDRT and Brian Barth. Color Guard will be presented by the Colby VFW #2227 and there will be bag pipes at sunset.
Throughout the week there will be guest speakers, concerts and much more. They will also dedicate the Persian Gulf tribute during this event on Saturday, July 23rd and the time for that has been moved from 6:30pm to 5:30pm on that Saturday. Sunday, July 24th is family day with a picnic, inflatables, kid’s games and an outdoor movie.
