The Highground's Operation Persian Gulf Welcome Home Veterans Event, Day 1

-The Highground’s Operation Persian Gulf Welcome Home Veterans Event begins today and runs through Monday, July 25th.The event will begin with the escort of the Wall of Remembrance to The Highground. The escort will start in Madison at Harley Davidson of Madison and will make stops along the way at the American Legion Post in Green Lake, Mauston Reed Bros. Harley Davidson, the Tomah VA Medical Center and Black River Falls Harley Davidson. The escort will then parade through Neillsville and is timed to enter The Highground around 6:30pm. The Highground is asking people to decorate their lawns and step out to the streets when the escort comes through.
Throughout the week there will be guest speakers, concerts and much more. They will also dedicate the Persian Gulf tribute during this event on Saturday, July 23rd and the time for that has been moved from 6:30pm to 5:30pm on that Saturday. Sunday, July 24th is family day with a picnic, inflatables, kid’s games and an outdoor movie.
