Report of Officers at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Report of Officers at their meeting on Tuesday of last week.For June, the Neillsville Police Department had 131 complaints, 73 service calls, 33 traffic citations, 47 traffic warnings, 5 crash investigations, 17 ordinance citations, 8 adult arrests 1 case referred to the district attorney, 9 juvenile cases and 34 parking citations. Those numbers are mostly in line with June of 2015’s numbers.
In terms of notable activity for the department, it was relatively quiet for them. Officer King assisted with an ATV Safety Class and Officer Bembnister has resigned and is now working for the Sheriff’s Department. Officer Zawislan investigated a possible assault in Schuster Park, but it turned out the victim had falsified the claim. Officer King also assisted the Sheriff’s Department with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Unfortunately, the victim did pass away. Finally, Chief Klueckmann talked about the suspects involved in the vehicle break ins back in February of this year.
