Public Works Report at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Public Works report at their meeting on Tuesday.The usual amount of work was done in the city including equipment maintenance, parks and cemetery maintenance, mowing, trimming weeds, cleaning storm inlets, street sweeping, getting ready for Heritage Days, hauling brush and compost and more.
They also heard reports on the water and sewer plants. Both water and sewer are seeing a $177,000 profit and they are right on track. The city has also made the final loan payment on the sewer plant. The council also heard an update on the budget. So far, almost all the budget lines are in the parameters. There are a few lines of the budget in the red for a few departments, but those departments have made up for the deficits elsewhere, so the overall budget is unaffected.
