Marshfield Police Department Investigating Death of a Man Found in an Apartment

-The Marshfield Police Department is investigation the death of a man found in apartment in Marshfield.According to a release from the department, a 31-year-old male was found unresponsive in an apartment on West Cleveland Street on Thursday at 3pm. The man has been identified as Andrew Payne. Payne had recently been released from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and was visiting friends and had not established residency in Marshfield.
Evidence located at the scene suggests that Payne died from an apparent overdose. An autopsy will be conducted today and the cause of death, as well as the events leading to the death, remains under investigation.
