Administrator's Report at Greenwood School Board Meeting

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrator’s report at their meeting on Monday.First, the board received an update on the summer maintenance projects. They also approved the Professional Staff Handbook and the Support Staff Handbook, deferred action on the Substitute Teacher Handbook until August and received an update on open positions and recruiting of candidates.
District Administrator Todd Felhofer gave his report to the board. He stated that the Summer School Session is going very well and will wrap-up tomorrow, Friday July 15th. He reminded the board to begin reviewing the 5000’s series of policies for the August meeting and a community forum meeting on June 20th featured some good discussion and an overview will be provided at the August meeting. He also stated that the board should consider scheduling at least one board meeting per year at the Elementary School. The board agreed and they’ll have their September meeting at Elementary school. Finally, he stated the new District webpage went online July 1st and the Design is more colorful and inviting with adjustments being made and Don and Judith Pentz would like to establish a scholarship in memory of their son Erik.
