(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Eighteen Wisconsin students were awarded a total of $27,000 in college scholarships this spring from America's Farmers Grow Ag Leaders, sponsored by the Monsanto Fund. The program encourages rural youth to remain in agriculture and provides $1,500 scholarships to support their education. Scholarship coordinators say farmers play a vital role by promoting the opportunity to local students and endorsing their applications.
The scholarships, administered by the National FFA Organization, are available to high school seniors and college students pursuing degrees in ag-related fields. Vanessa Nicpon was selected to receive the scholarship for Clark County.
