-A former Abbotsford teacher sentenced for sexually assaulting two of his students back in 2014 in Clark County entered a plea for similar charges stemming from the same incident in Marathon County on Tuesday. The incident began back in January of 2014, when it was discovered that 27-year-old Andy Follen had an inappropriate relationship with two of his female students, who admitted to engaging in sexual activities with Follen. In May of 2015, Follen pleaded guilty to two counts of exposing genitals to a child and 4th degree sexual assault here in Clark County. He was sentenced to 4 years' probation with 7 months of conditional jail time.
Because some of the meetings occurred at Follen’s home in Spencer, he was also charged in Marathon County Court with 2 counts of sexual assault of a student by school staff. One of those charges was dismissed as part of a plea deal and he was sentenced to 3 years’ probation, which he’ll serve concurrent to the probation he’s serving for Clark County. Conditions of his probation were similar to what was set in Clark County including registering as a sex offender, no contact with women under the age of 18 and more.
