(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Central Wisconsin farmers continue to struggle with ways to protect their animals from wolves, which are still being protected by the endangered species act.The most recent incident occurred near Wisconsin Rapids this month. That's where a wolf attacked and killed seven sheep that belonged to Bryan Jones. Jones said he invested in a $20,000 fence to keep his livestock safe, but the wolf still found a way to reach the sheep.
Last month, state natural resources officials confirmed that the wolf population reached an all-time high in Wisconsin.
