Marshfield Police Department Presents 2020 Awards

The Marshfield Police Department recently held a series of small events to present their 2020 awards.
Department members submit nominations which are reviewed by a committee. The committee recognized the officers involved in 5 separate critical incidents, and 10 life saving events involving either CPR or Narcan in 2020.
Lt. Jason Punke was awarded a valor award for his actions during a 32 mile vehicle pursuit on April 1st of last year. Independent of that, he was also selected as the Officer of the Year.
Transport Officer and Adult Crossing Guard Don Gleisner was selected as the Member of the Year. Administrative Associate Peg Lindner and Lead Officer Steven Meek were both presented with Career Achievement Awards for their extensive service to the community prior to recent retirements.
