New Report States Changes to VA System May Have Made Things Worse

(CNN) -New revelations in the Veterans Health Administration wait-list scandal, a commission tasked by congress concludes in a report -- that the billions pumped into fixing the VA over the past two years haven't helped.In some cases, some of the so-called improvements may have actually made things worse. Whistle-blowers revealed a major backlog -- veterans had to sometimes wait months to see a doctor.
The new report recommends allowing veterans have more private healthcare options. It's also recommending new leadership to implement change and streamline v-a care. But critics say that's not enough -- and that more needs to be done to completely overhaul the system.
