CDC's Report and More at Owen City Council Meeting

-The Owen City Council tabled a proposal about a new copy machine at their meeting last week.A proposal was issued by Bauernfeind for a new Kyocera copier/fax/scanner as the current model is 5 years old and has numerous issues wrong with it making it more difficult to use and operate in an efficient manner. The Council discussed the proposal but the numbers did not seem to come out, so they tabled the proposal until the next meeting and to have the proposal broken down accordingly. The council did approve the Agreement with West Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission to apply for two grants to use towards the OMI Property re-development at a cost of $8,000.
They also heard the CDC’s report at their meeting. Tim Swiggum reported that the Goose round up went well, but some got away with 30 collected. Dollar General will be getting a new hitching post soon. Also, the pool of water in front of the Dollar General is not draining properly and they are going to work on it. The council also approved license and bartender applications.
