Medford Man Dies in Taylor County Motorcycle Accident

-On July 4th, at 8:01 p.m., the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motorcycle accident with injuries.It was reported that the driver and passenger of the motorcycle were laying on the road injured. Taylor County Deputies responded and found both individuals had severe injuries. The Taylor County Ambulance and Medford Fire Dept. were also dispatched and arrived on scene.
The investigation into the accident found the driver to be 61 year old Robert J. Dassow Jr and the passenger his wife 60 year old Gail L. Dassow, both Medford area residents. While driving west bound on County Highway??"M a deer ran from the ditch colliding with the motorcycle causing the driver to lose control and crash. There were no other contributing factors for the accident. Robert J. Dassow Jr was airlifted to Aspirus Wausau Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
