Wisconsin's Grain Stocks Report

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Wisconsin corn stocks in all positions as of June 1 totaled 190 million bushels.According to the USDA's Grain Stocks report, this is 11 percent above a year ago. Of the total stocks, 51 percent were stored in on-farm storage facilities. The indicated quarterly disappearance from March to May totaled 113 million bushels, 19 percent more than the 95.3 million bushels used during the same quarter last year.
Soybeans stored in all positions as of last month were 22.5 million bushels, up 33 percent from a year ago. Of the total stocks, 27 percent were stored on-farm. Indicated disappearance for the quarter was 16.1 million bushels, 28 percent more than the 12.6 million bushels used during the same quarter last year. And oat stocks totaled 7.24 million bushels, eight percent less than the 7.88 million bushels on hand June 1, 2015. Of the total stocks, 28 percent were stored on-farm. Indicated disappearance for the quarter was 2.68 million bushels.
