Several Wisconsin DATCP Officials A Part of Governor Walker's Cabinet on the Road Tour

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Several top officials within the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection will be on the road next week as part of Gov. Scott Walker's Cabinet on the Road tour.State Agriculture Secretary Ben Brancel will make stops in Eau Claire, River Falls and Luck on July 11. His travels will include tours of Huntsinger/Silver Springs Food, Huntsinger's Processing, and the University of Wisconsin-River Falls' Meat Pilot Plant and the Dairy Pilot Plant. DATCP Assistant Deputy Secretary Sandy Chalmers will also be on the road July 11 and 12, where she will visit UW-Barron County and the Shirley Doane Senior Center to give presentations on ID theft.
And on July 12, Deputy Secretary Jeff Lyon will tour Chippewa Valley Bean Company in Menomonie and NorthStar Bison near Rice Lake. His day will wrap up with a stop at Lake Country Dairy near Turtle Lake. Walker has been holding his Cabinet on the Road program for several years in hopes of bringing state government to the people.
