Marshfield Clinic Sports Medicine Offering Summer Program for Students Interested in Athletic Training

-Marshfield Clinic Sports Medicine will offer a summer program for high school students interested in learning more about the field of medicine through athletic training.The student athletic training course will give instruction and hands-on experience in sports medicine and provide an understanding of injury management and protection techniques. Students completing this course, who on their own supplement it with CPR and first aid courses, can assist licensed athletic trainers of high school sports teams during the school year.
The six-week student athletic training course is taught by Marshfield Clinic athletic trainers. Course dates for 2016 are: June 15, 22 and 29; and July 6, 13 and 27. All classes are from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays in conference rooms A/B, Lawton Center, located on the Marshfield Clinic campus in Marshfield. Participants need to attend all six sessions.
