An Exchanging of Funds at the Neillsville City Council Meeting
Tuesday, May 31st, 2016 -- 8:27 AM
-The Neillsville City Council approved a donation from the Neillsville Improvement Corporation. However, it wasn’t a donation in the usual sense; it was more of an exchanging of funds. The new information kiosks that NIC has been spearheading have arrived. However, as NIC doesn’t have its own credit card, they used city funds to pay for them, with the total coming to $6,273 and some odds cents. From there, NIC wrote a check to the city to reimburse them for those funds.
The council also heard the committee reports from the various committee meetings held the past couple weeks. The Heritage Days Committee met on May 19th and heard an update on the Miss Neillsville event, discussed the Heritage Days poster, shirts and prizes, the parade, crafters, pottery, the golf outing and more. They also heard the Parks and Recreation Board report from May 11th. They heard a review of programs and tournaments offered by the Rec Department and they heard an update on the cemetery, parks and the boy scouts plan on doing some projects. This was the same meeting that sent the parks grant and trout pond ordinance to be approved by the common council.
