Memorial Medical Center Foundation Holds Annual Meeting

-The Memorial Medical Center Foundation held its annual meeting on Monday, May 23, 2016. During this meeting new officers for the upcoming 2016/2017 term were elected. Serving as Chair of the Foundation for the past year, Jana Marden graciously handed over the lead to new Chair Mary Kay Mills. The board approved new Officers for the position of Vice Chair, to be held by Bob Solberg, and Secretary/Treasurer to be held by Jerry Quicker.The Board also had to say goodbye to three board members that have served their terms. Jana Marden and Bob Barth, having served on the board since 2007 retired as of the May meeting. Barth and Marden were both founding members of the Foundation Board. Merrill Brunette also said goodbye to the board but will continue serving as a volunteer for Mingle, the annual fundraising event for the medical center.
“Bob Barth, Merrill Brunette, and Jana Marden represent some of the finest individuals in our community and they deserve our thanks and appreciation for their time served” commented Shelley Janke, Foundation Director.
With three vacant positions to fill, the Foundation board welcomed the following new members to the board: Linda Garrett-Holets, Amanda Hensiak, and Bonnie Short. All three ladies will begin serving on the Foundation board with three year terms.
The Memorial Medical Center Foundation was established in 2011 and is a non-profit charitable organization. Created to help assist the Medical Center through fundraising, awareness, and community involvement, the Foundation continues to grow and welcome new donors each day.
