Hixton Man Enters Plea for 6th OWI

-A Hixton man arrested back in December of last year for his 6th OWI appeared in Jackson County Court on Monday for a preliminary hearing.According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, 53-year-old Adam Skaar drove his pickup truck through a wooden fence in Hixton. He also hit a parked car and hit a mailbox before he finally drove into a field. He failed the various sobriety tests and was arrested. He's also accused of having marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
His $5,000 signautre bond was continued and he's been charged with OWI 6th Offense, operating with a PAC 6th offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of THC. He waived his preliminary hearing and entered not guilty pleas to the charges against him. However, he’s set for a plea/sentencing hearing on June 27th.
