Highground 2016 Memorial Day Activities

The Highround’s Memorial Day event is being held on Monday, May 30th starting at 11:30am.They’ll be reading the names of the Wisconsin KIAs/MIAs in the Vietnam and Korean Wars. Volunteers are needed to help read the names, so if you’re interested please contact The Highground. The ceremony will begin at 2pm with speakers Sally Johnson and Celeste Kaufman. It will also feature the Color Guard and rifle Unit of the Loyal American Legion, singer Marnie Schecklman and they’ll be reading the names of the Wisconsin Persian Gulf KIAs.
They’ll also have the Field of Flags on the plaza, agent orange barrels on display for those affected by agent orange to sign and, weather permitting, they’ll have the big maps of Vietnam and the Persian Gulf for veteran’s and gold star families to sign. You can come early and welcome The Highground Motorcycle Rally at 1pm.
