Clark County Tourism Committee Talks Advertising and More

-The Clark County Tourism Committee discussed many items at their meeting on Wednesday.They talked about the “Snapshots of Clark County” skits that were done at the CCEDC’s Annual Meeting at the end of April. The skits were very well received and did exactly what the committee wanted, which was to showcase all the places, activities events and more that Clark County has to offer. Discussion was held on possibly re-doing the skits, for a cost, and letting businesses and other entities use them for advertising. The “Spring into the Arts” Studio Tour was well received once again as was the Bloomin’ Greenhouses Kickoff, both held towards the end of April.
The “Fall Harvest Moon Tour” is progressing. They’ll begin marketing in June and the signs will be put up in September with the event running from September 16th to October 16th. Finally, the committee discussed Clark County’s ad in Midwest Living, heard an update from Forestry and Parks, discussed brochure racks for the county tourism book, discussed the economic impact of horse riders in the county and discussed the Ghost Towns project.
