Tuesday, May 17th, 2016 -- 8:13 AM
-The Neillsville School Board began their meeting on Monday by taking care of organizational matters. The board re-elected their officers with Dewey Poeschel elected as president, Sue Voigt as vice president, Peggy Grap as Treasurer and Deanna Heiman as Clerk. These were the same as the past several years. From there, the board approved some curriculum and course updates to the district’s art classes. They were updated by the outgoing art teacher as she’s retiring after this year.
The board approved the district’s WIAA membership. There was no cost to the district for the 2nd year in a row as the WIAA decided a couple years ago that they have enough money in their fund balance and haven’t been charging district’s membership fees. They also approved the district’s membership to the Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance for $500 with the price being the same as last year.
