Sunday, May 15th, 2016 -- 8:10 AM
-The Owen-Withee School board approved some open enrollment applications at their meeting on Monday. The board approved the two open enrollment applications for resident students to attend other schools. There were no non-resident applications this year. The board also discussed the transportation bidding process. The contract with Town and Country Busing will expire on July 31st. After discussions, Steve Janda, the owner, felt that it would be in the best interest of both parties if the district were to put its busing contract out to bid.
With a potential shortage of drivers, Steve feels Town and Country may not be able to meet their busing needs. The district will send out invitations to bid to area bus companies. Finally, the board unanimously approved hiring Brandi Arndt to be the new aide in the IMC to replace Stacy Rasmussen who has started her district bookkeeping duties.
