Public Works Report at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting on Tuesday.The usual amount of work was done in the city the past couple weeks including cemetery and parks upkeep and maintenance, equipment maintenance, mowing, trimming and pruning trees, hauling brush and compost, clean storm and sewer inlets, patched pot holes, street sweeping and more.
The department is also working on plans for new bathrooms in Listeman Park, they repaired a storm sewer on 4th Street and they’re continuing to inspect and identify sidewalks that need to be replaced. They’re also looking at properties that need to clean their yards and everyone in the department has gone through a variety of training and tests for licenses recently. Finally, they replaced sidewalk and curb on West 6th Street from a large tree removal and the city received notice that Xcel Energy is switching the street lights to LED lights.
