Medford Woman Facing Child Sexual Assault Charges Appear in Court

A Medford woman appeared in Taylor County Court for sexual assault of a child charges.
According to court records, Pamela Schield, a former Medford Alternative High School teacher, admitted to a therapist that she was exchanging messages with a high school student.
She tried to rationalize the interactions by saying the student was going to be 18-years-old soon. She stated that nude photos were sent, messages were shared, and they had sexual interactions.
Schield is facing charges of exposing a child to harmful material, child enticement- sexual contact, sexual assault of a child by person who works or volunteers with children and sex with child aged 16 or older.
During her Preliminary Hearing on Monday, probable cause was found so her court proceedings will continue. She entered a not guilty plea to the charges against her.
