Rural Economic Resource Guide for Farmers Meeting Being Held Tomorrow in Abbotsford
Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016 -- 10:25 AM
-Due to the dire economic conditions in the rural community, and more specifically, to the dairy industry in Central Wisconsin, there is a dire need for resources for the farmers in this area regarding financial consulting, family health, and a general source for available resources. With this thought in mind, agribusinesses and other agencies and farm groups are invited to participate in a meeting that will put together the resources farmers could utilize in order to help them through this crisis and this would also benefit each participant so that they also know what is available and can guide the farmers to the type of help they may need.
A “Rural Economic Resource Guide” will be developed from the meeting that will be available to all participants as a handout for the farmers you would work with. The meeting will be held on Wednesday May 4 at Abbotsford City Hall from 10 am to noon. Please RSVP so that we have an idea of the agencies/businesses that will be involved.
