For the report, the usual amount of work was done in the city including equipment maintenance, cemetery and park maintenance/clean up, they opened up the bathrooms in the park, trimmed trees, hauled brush and compost, cleaned storm sewer inlets, patched pot holes, street sweeping, picked up bagged lawn waste and more.
The Director of Public Works, Dave Flynn has also been doing some sidewalk inspections for areas that may need repair and he’s looking into sending letters to people who need to clean their yards. He also sent out the Consumer Confidence Water Quality Report, most public works employees have been through training and Dave will be gone the rest of this week for a conference. Finally, Dave mentioned that, after getting DNR approval, they put in a bypass at the Water Treatment Plant, purchased a new locator and confined space meter and has rehab for a city well scheduled in the future.
