Committee Reports at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the committee reports from the various committee meetings held the past few weeks.The council heard the Heritage Days Committee report from April 14th. They approved a correction to the Miss Neillsville Scholarships for 2017. They also discussed and approved Bob and Caryl Solberg as the Grand Marshalls and approved renting a tent from Briggs. Finally, they discussed the move for Family Movie Night, discussed the Pub Crawl, the parade, bands, kid’s games and prizes, fencing and the schedule for the poster.
The board also heard the report from the Annual Board of Health meeting which was held on April 19th. The city’s health officer presented the annual health report and activities. The report touched on many things including liquor, beer and wine inspections. There was also a continuing health complaint on a cockroach problem resulted in assistance from the Neillsville Police Department as the owner wasn’t complaint, but now an exterminator comes on a monthly basis. They also did tattoo parlor inspections and consulted with landlords. Finally the board discussed rental properties and approved having each council member do a city inspection tour for their ward with the Director of Public Works.
