Friday, April 29th, 2016 -- 11:19 AM
-The BloodCenter of Wisconsin is in urgent need of blood donations, especially a rare type of O negative blood.O-negative blood is critical for both adults and newborns with weakened immune systems. O negative is referred to as the universal blood type because anyone can receive it. It’s critical in situations when a patient’s blood type is unknown.
You can help by giving blood tomorrow, Saturday, April 30th, from 8am-1pm at the Abbotsford City Hall. Anyone 17 or older, 16 with parental consent, in general good health and who meets eligibility requirements is encouraged to donate blood. Donors should bring a photo ID that includes birth date.
