Clark County Economic Development Corporation and Tourism Bureau Holds Annual Meeting, Part 2

-The Clark County Economic Development Corporation and Tourism Bureau held their Annual Meeting on Monday evening at the Loyal American Legion.After the board took care of some business matters, they heard a presentation from Wisconsin’s Tourism Secretary Stephanie Klett. Miss Klett talked about the changes she made when she started working as the Tourism Secretary, which included doing away with the slogans Wisconsin had adopted over and over again. She also talked about a series of commercials and videos about vacationing and enjoying Wisconsin, some of which have received awards. She said that tourism employs 187,000 people and the tourism industry has generated $1.5 billion in tax relief for Wisconsin residents.
After her presentation, residents of Clark County acted out a series of 20-30 second commercials for Miss Klett talking about all the things Clark County has to offer and fitting in with the meeting’s theme of “Snapshots of Clark County.” The commercials included topics of restaurants, hiking, camping, the county communities, events, art and much more.
