Red Cross Blood Drive in Thorp Today
Tuesday, April 26th, 2016 -- 9:18 AM
-The American Red Cross has a significant need for type O negative blood donors to donate blood for patients.Type O negative blood can be transfused to patients with any blood type and is often used in emergency situations. While less than 7 percent of the U.S. population has type O negative blood, hospitals depend on frequent O negative donations to ensure it’s always available for patients in need. There is a Red Cross Blood Drive happening today at the Thorp Fire and Ambulance Station from 9:30am-2pm.
The BloodCenter of Wisconsin is also holding a blood drive on Saturday, April 30th from 8am-1pm at the Abbotsford City Hall. There’s another Red Cross Blood Drive happening in Marshfield at the Eagles Club on Monday, May 2nd from 11am-5pm.
