Several Items Approved at Greenwood City Council Meeting

-The Greenwood City Council approved several items at their meeting on Thursday of last week.The council began the meeting by hearing from Clark County Emergency Management Director John Ross in regards to a tower lease agreement with between the county and the city. They also discussed the policy and procedure manual during the police report. During the public works report, they awarded a bid for the 2016 road projects, discussed a building permit and the cemetery trees.
The council also approved a change order in regards to utilities and tabled an agreement with Thorp, so more research can be done, in regards to mutual aid. A resolution adopting Clark County’s Outdoor Recreation Plan was approved as was a golf cart ordinance, a user charge system and the replacement of lights at the athletic field. A new sewer ordinance was tabled for the time being. Finally, two new members were approved for the Greenwood Housing Authority.
