Abbotsford Woman Enters Plea for Child Neglect Charges

-A woman arrested during the execution of a search warrant at a home in Abbotsford entered a plea in Clark County Court on Wednesday.Back in July of last year, the Clark County Sheriff's Department, Clark County Social Services and the Abbotsford Police Department executed a search warrant at 419 North 3rd Street in Abbotsford.
Two adults, Gary Mann Jr. and Joan Mann, were arrested as was a 17-year-old. Joan has been charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, two counts of neglecting a child, intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a child and maintaining a drug trafficking place. She was found guilty, due to a no contest plea, of the possession of a firearm by a felon charge, one of the neglecting a child charges and contributing to the delinquency of a child. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered and no sentencing date has been set at this time.
Gary Mann Jr. was sentenced to 180 days in jail and 5 years’ probation back in February for his part in the crime. In the incident, two children, ages 13 and 6, were removed from the home by social services. The two children were the ones that told the authorities about the drug use in the home.
