Administrators' Reports at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting last week.Elementary Principal Lance Batchelor reported that the elementary is in a heavy assessment period. Students in grades 3-6 are taking the Forward Exam, the new state test, as well at students in grades K-6 doing their final literacy assessment. Summer School information has been distributed to students. He offered a big thank you to Ms. Rahn and Ms. Tranberg for spearheading this effort again. The elementary book fair will be from April 15th??"22nd, and the Enrichment Fair will take place on Thursday April 21st from 2-3 PM and again from 3:45 PM??"5:30 PM.
Jr/Sr High Dean of Students Julie VanArk congratulated Whitney Baehr on receiving a $5000 Kohl Excellence Scholarship. Whitney received her award from Senator Herb Kohl at a ceremony in Chippewa Falls on April 3rd. Mrs. Kodl and 4 students are attending the FBLA competition in La Crosse this week. Kathryn Lampi has earned the Goat Proficiency Award for FFA. She will receive her award at the state convention in Madison in June. This qualifies her for the National competition in October. Mrs. Jaskot and seven students will be attending the State Student Council Convention April 24th and 25th. This past weekend Mrs. Serocki and five students attended the State Forensics competition in Madison. Junior Prom is Saturday, April 30th from 8-11 PM and State Solo and Ensemble will be in Eau Claire on Saturday, May 7th.
