Jackson County Man Sentenced for Drug Charges

-A Jackson County man was sentenced in Jackson County Court on Monday for drug charges.On January 20th of last year, Deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office were advised that Dale Laughlin had a valid warrant from Sauk County for his arrest. The Deputies attempted to locate Laughlin at his address in the Township of Albion. Deputies were granted entry to the residence where they located Laughlin and subsequently arrested him. Found on his person was a hypodermic needle, drug paraphernalia, and suspected Meth-amphetamine.
The Sheriff's Office continued the investigation and executed a search warrant on the residence. During the search, the investigators located more drugs, including suspected heroin, as well as drug paraphernalia that were consistent with intravenous drug use. Laughlin was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, possession of methamphetamine and bail jumping. The rest of the charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 1 year probation.
