No Softball Team for Owen-Withee this Year

-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports and discussed, but took no action on, several agenda items at their meeting on Monday of last week.District Administrator Bob Houts informed the board that due to low numbers, the softball season was terminated. Efforts were made to develop a club team with another district, but these efforts fell through. With the number of softball players moving into the high school next year, it is very optimistic that will have a team again next year.
Mr. Houts urged the Board Negotiations Committees to begin the contract settlement process. With the base wage increase being capped at .12% this year, this process should go quickly.
