Cental Wisconsin Under Very High Fire Danger
Sunday, April 17th, 2016 -- 6:33 AM
-The Wisconsin DNR has issued a burning ban for most of Wisconsin.Due to the dry weather, low humidity and wind, there’s a very high risk of fire throughout Wisconsin. This ban means you’re not allowed to burn in barrels, debris piles, grass or wooded areas. Campfires are permitted for cooking or warming purposes, but the DNR is discouraging it.
Currently, Clark County, as well as the neighboring counties of Chippewa, Eau Claire, Jackson, Wood, Marathon and Taylor, is under very high fire danger. Most of Wisconsin’s counties are under very high fire danger with the exception of many counties on the east side of the state. If you’d like to learn more you can check the Wisconsin DNR’s website.
