Administrators' Reports at Greenwood School Board Meeting

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.

Superintendent Todd Felhofer offered congratulations to Tera Horvath and Dave Post on being recognized as Crystal Apple Teachers of Distinction. He also offered a big thank you to the community for supporting the April 5th Referendum and congratulations to their two new school board members Dawn Jacobson and Sarah Shaw. He also asked the board to review the NEOLA policy approval process. This process will begin in May and run through December. This timeline should allow for proper review, discussion, edit and adoption.

He stated a staff recognition event is being planned for May 18th. This event will recognize Greenwood’s staff for employment milestones. Finally, he said there’s another School Board Meeting scheduled for April 26th from 6:30-8:30pm in the board room and May’s Board Meeting will be the re-organization meeting with new officers elected.

High School Principal Todd Fischer provided updates on the district’s ongoing math curriculum work; recapped the presentation to grades 5-8, 9-12 and parents from Dr. Justin Patchin from UW-EC on cyberbullying. Mr. Fischer also highlighted the recent performances of the school play-“The Bachelor King”, Cloverbelt Scholars Banquet, and the FFA Banquet. Amanda Schlough, a teacher, provided an update on the Color Stampede scheduled for Monday, May 11th and informed board members that if they would like to help at the event they should contact Mr. Fischer.
