Public Works Report at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting on Tuesday.The usual amount of work was done in the city the past couple weeks including equipment maintenance, trimming and pruning trees, park and cemetery maintenance, hauled brush and compost, snow and ice removal, clean storm drains, patched pot holes, street sweeping and more.
They also took down the banners from winter to summer and had a contractor take down two big, dying trees on West 15th Street. The department has the spring clean-up scheduled for next week, so all rakings must be bagged and brush must be bundled. Sidewalk inspections have been performed and some have been marked for replacement this summer.
Finally, a letter will be sent out to some properties that need to clean up their yards and the Annual Consumer Confidence Water Quality report has been updated.
