One Person Dead After Hitting a Horse and Buggy on Highway 29 Near Withee

-A driver is dead after the vehicle he was operating struck a horse and buggy on STH 29 by Sterling Avenue in the Township of Withee.The Clark County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the crash at about 10:59 pm, on Saturday April 9th. Initial investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling east on STH 29 when it hit a driverless horse and buggy head-on traveling west. The horse and buggy had freed itself from where it was tied up earlier that evening. The Toyota, being driven by 29-year-old Thai Vue, came to reset after entering the grassy area of the median.
Thai was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Schleifer. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the accident. Thai was wearing a seatbelt, was traveling by himself and is from the Sheboygan area. The Thorp Area Fire and Ambulance Service responded to the scene with the Clark County Sheriff’s and Coroner’s Office. The Investigation is continuing by the Sheriff’s and Coroner’s Office. This is the 7th traffic fatality in Clark County for 2016.
